Striped Spring Scarf
Published in the 2011 Crochet Pattern-A-Day Calendar by Accord Publishing.


Pick colors that look vibrant next to each other. Most DK yarns would work well as long as you use the same yarn for all three colors.

Finished size: 3” wide x 44” long

Yarn: Skacel Algarve (100% mercerised cotton; 155 yd/50 g: 1 skein each of orange, hot pink, and lavender)

Hook size: Size G (4.0mm)


Gauge: 18 hdc x 18 rows = 4” x 4"

Pattern


1. With color A, ch 200.

2. With color A, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each st across.

3 – 4. With color A, hdc in each st across.

5. With color B, hdc in each st across.

6. With color C, hdc in each st across.

7. With color A, hdc in each st across.

8 - 10. With color B, hdc in each st across.

11. With color C, hdc in each st across.

12. With color A, hdc in each st across.

13. With color B, hdc in each st across.

14 - 16. With color C, hdc in each st across.

17. With color C, sc in each st across.

Finishing:
1. Do not fasten off. Knot the tails close to the work and leave on as fringe.

2. Cut several 7” lengths of yarn in each color (about 6 of each color). Tie on both short ends of the scarf as fringe.

3. Block the scarf, if needed.
