Fingerless Gloves with a Tie
A simple pattern for fingerless gloves gets a bit of style with an added tie.
Directions are given as Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large). Glove is worked starting with the tie, then continuing onto the glove from the bottom up.
Finished Size: Measuring at knuckles – Extra Small = 6”
Yarn: Koigu KPPPM
Hook: size G or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 4” x 4” = 18 sts x 18 rows

Make two of the following:
1. ch 7. turn.
2. hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Hdc across, ch 2, turn. (5 hdc)
3. hdc in each hdc across, ch 2, turn. (5 hdc)
4 – 57. repeat row 3.
58. hdc in first stitch, ch 3, sk 4 sts, hdc in top of t –ch, ch 2, turn. (row 58 creates the slit for the tie to pass through)
59. hdc in hdc, hdc in each ch, hdc in hdc, ch 2, turn.
60. hdc in each hdc across, ch 2, turn.
61 – 83. repeat row 60.
84. hdc in each hdc, ch 2, do not turn.
85. working along top edge of tie, sl st in each row end for 26 rows, continuing in row ends, hdc in each row end for 24 rows, sl st last st of row to first.
86. continue to work in the round, hdc in each hdc. (25 hdc)
87. 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 23 sts, 2 hdc in sl st. (27 hdc)
88 – 89. hdc in each hdc (27 sts)
90. stop working in the round, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across. (27 hdc)
91. 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each hdc until last st, 2 hdc in last st. (29 hdc)
92 – 94. hdc in each hdc across, ch 2, turn. (29 sts)
95. 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each hdc until last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 2, turn. (31 sts)
96. hdc in each each hdc, ch 2, turn.
97. repeat row 97.
98. hdc in each hdc, do not turn.
99. sl st last st to first st of the row just completed. Begin to work in the round. Hdc in each hdc.
Note: when slip stitching in this step, check to make sure the slit for the tie (from row 58) is on the bottom of your wrist. This will ensure that you have a left and right hand glove.
100. hdc2Tog in sl st and first st, hdc in each hdc.
101 - 104. hdc2Tog in first and second st, hdc in each st around.
105. sc in eac st around, ending with a sl st in the first st of the last row. FO.
Finishing: Attach yarn to end of tie and sl st a border around the edges.
